Our Roots
First United Methodist Church has a strong German heritage; in fact, our cornerstone is etched in German. The sanctuary dates back to the 1800s and has period architecture, but it also has cushioned pews and modern heating and air conditioning. Pigeon is an agricultural community, but we also have industry and a strong hospital/healthcare network. The community and church family are loving and caring. Many of our members are actively involved in the community and surrounding area.
